After sustaining an ACL injury on the hockey field and undergoing surgery to rectify it, months and months of physio and rehab ensued. It was in this where I was inspired to study physiotherapy myself. The feeling of accomplishment going from hospital bed to competitive hockey and international karate participation was enough to want to aid others in this journey.
After completing Matric at Pretoria Boys High in 2008, I enrolled at the University of Pretoria and completed my studies in 2012. I completed my post-graduate Sports Physiotherapy (SPT1) course in 2014 as well. I have been the school physiotherapist to Wonderboom, Voortrekker, Pretoria Boys High School and Hilton College as well as team physio to the Blue Bulls Women, TUT Vikings, UKZN Impi, Sharks Schools, South African Hockey, Basketball and Korfbal teams.
Now a private practice owner in Pietermaritzburg striving to provide the community with world class physiotherapy and evidence based techniques and advice on active and healthy living. I believe firmly in the inter-disciplinary approach to healthcare and love working with all athletes from the professionals to the weekend warriors.
